Barcelona midfielder, Rodri, has claimed that Real Madrid tried all they could to sign him in the summer.
In an interview with COPE, Rodri said Los Blancos made his decision “difficult”.
The Spain captain left Manchester City in a £65.4 million deal and signed for Barca, despite being heavily linked with Madrid.
Rodri has now opened up on how hard it was for him to choose between the two LaLiga giants.
“Real Madrid really tried hard. They wanted to sign me, we had direct talks and they came with everything they had to make it happen,” Rodri said.
“They made my decision difficult.
“I am grateful. Speaking with Florentino Pérez too? I am not gonna say that.”
