“Madam Saje Knew Some Actresses I Dated But Never Told My Wife Despite Their Friendship” – Actor Yinka Quadri

InformationNG about 2 hours 2 mins read

Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has opened up about his long-standing relationship with actress Saje, recalling how their friendship dates back to their early days in the movie industry.

According to Quadri, Saje was already close to his wife before they got married, and the actress has maintained that bond over the years without engaging in gossip.

He explained that Saje even knew about some of his relationships with other women but never took the information to his wife, describing her as someone who could be trusted.

Quadri also recounted how he once considered helping Saje’s husband during a difficult period in their marriage. He said he informed Saje that her husband, Rafiu Balogun, wanted to accompany him to a movie location, expecting her to object because of their misunderstanding.

However, she reportedly welcomed the idea, and Quadri said he felt the need to inform her because of her friendship with his wife.

The actor also weighed in on remuneration in the movie industry, insisting that he would not expect to earn more than younger colleagues simply because of his experience.

Using Funke Akindele and Lateef Adedimeji as examples, he said, “If I’m being called to a job, and Funke Akindele and Lateef Adedimeji are going to be paid the same amount, I’m an enemy of God if I’m expecting that they should pay me more than him.”

Quadri explained that actors have different approaches to negotiating their fees, noting that while some accept whatever they are offered, others insist on the amount they want.

He concluded that such differences are simply part of life.
