Portugal head coach, Jorge Jesus, has claimed that captain Cristiano Ronaldo did not refuse to train.
There were reports that Ronaldo was left furious after he failed to play a single minute in the 2-1 win over Norway in the Nations League on Sunday.
According to Record, the Portuguese Football Federation summoned an emergency meeting between the 41-year-old and Jesus to resolve the issue.
But Jesus has insisted there is no issue between him and Ronaldo.
“Cristiano Ronaldo did not refuse to train,” Jesus told reporters.
“There are no issues. Cristiano told me: if you want me to play, I’ll play.
“If you want me to sit on the bench, I will. If you want me in the stands, I will.”
