Nations League: Portugal release official statement on Ronaldo’s departure

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

The Portugal Football Federation have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo has left the national team camp.

They, however, failed to disclose the reasons the 41-year-old departed.

An official statement read: “Cristiano Ronaldo has left the national team camp.

“Our preparations for the next games continue with our 24 players with maximum focus on the results.”

Ronaldo was left on the bench for the entire duration of their 2-1 win over Norway in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.

The Al Nassr captain was seen storming off at full time, failing to acknowledge their supporters.

Ronaldo has since landed in Madrid after claiming he would share the “truth” of why he exited camp.
