NPA announces arrival of 37 ships at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has announced that 37 vessels laden with petroleum products, food supplies and other commodities are scheduled to arrive at the Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea and Tincan Island ports in Lagos on Tuesday.

Details contained in the agency’s Daily Shipping Position showed that the vessels are expected to berth between June 16 and June 23.

According to the NPA, 13 of the incoming vessels are conveying containers loaded with various goods, while the remaining 24 are transporting frozen fish, bulk urea, petrol, condensate, bulk sugar, aviation fuel, general cargo, diesel, crude oil and bulk wheat.

The authority further disclosed that eight vessels and tanker ships had already arrived at the ports and were awaiting berthing with consignments including containers, general cargo, gasoline, aviation fuel, petrol, bulk fertiliser, diesel and crude oil.

It also revealed that 19 ships are currently offloading different cargoes at the Lekki Deep Sea Port, Apapa Port and Tincan Island Port, including containers, frozen fish, petrol, bulk urea, bulk gypsum, bulk sugar, bulk wheat, tug boats and bulk gas.
