NPFL: Bendel Insurance raise alarm over goalkeeper, Baba’s whereabouts

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Bendel Insurance have raised alarm over the whereabouts of their goalkeeper, Joshua Baba, DAILY POST reports.

The former Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions in a statement signed by their Director of Media and Communications, Kehinde Osagiede, said Baba was last seen on Saturday, 29 August, 2026.

Baba was given a two-week break after sustaining an injury in Bendel Insurance’s opening fixture of the season against Warri Wolves.

The shot stopper has however failed to report back to the club, and remained unreachable.

Insurance declared that they would take all necessary disciplinary and administrative measures against Baba in line with his contractual obligations and the applicable regulations of the NPFL and the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

The NPFL and NFF have also been notified on Baba’s status and the circumstances surrounding his unauthorized absence.
