Shooting Stars technical adviser, Salisu Yusuf has expressed satisfaction with his team’s comfortable 2-0 home win over Katsina United.
Olanrewaju Ridwan gave the Oluyole Warriors the lead in the 20th minute, while Qamar Adegoke doubled the advantage 18 minutes from time.
Yusuf declared that the win would boost his team’s confidence going into their upcoming games.
“The points will give the team much confidence to go into the next game. We have two games away. I think it is a good morale booster for the team,” Yusuf said in his post-match reaction.
Yusuf also said his team had improved from their previous defeat to Plateau United.
“You know, in the team-building process, you keep correcting mistakes every game. I’m very happy that the mistakes we corrected in the previous game against Plateau United yielded a positive result, discipline-wise and tactically,” Yusuf added.
“That is why our opponent couldn’t create any chance against us. This is a good omen for the team. The target is to get a continental ticket, which I believe we have the team to do.”
