The 53rd PFA Awards ceremony will take place Tuesday in Manchester, with some of the biggest names in English football competing for individual honours.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes leads the nominees for the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award after an outstanding season. He faces competition from Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki, as well as Arsenal trio Declan Rice, David Raya and Gabriel.
Fernandes enjoyed a remarkable campaign, setting a new Premier League assist record with 21 assists and collecting both the Premier League Player of the Season and Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year awards.
Meanwhile, Cherki is also nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award alongside Manchester City teammate Nico O’Reilly, Arsenal’s Max Dowman, Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha, Eli Junior Kroupi and Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo.
Eight awards will be presented at the ceremony, including honours for women’s football and players from the Championship, League One and League Two.
The ceremony will be streamed live on the PFA’s YouTube channel, with the red carpet beginning at 4pm BST before the main event.
