Tinubu can’t be in all 36 states fighting crime simultaneously – Gov Ododo

Daily Post about 2 hours 2 mins read

Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State has said President Bola Tinubu cannot be in all 36 states of the country at the same time fighting crime.

This was as Ododo noted that he is still one of Tinubu’s foot soldiers fighting crime in his state.

Ododo spoke while visiting the new 21 Battalion Barracks in Anyigba, Kogi East.

He praised the military people for their hard work and commitment to keeping people and their homes safe, saying that sending the battalion there has given the local communities more confidence and a sense of security.

Ododo said: “I am here today to thank all the brave officers who are giving their time and effort every day to make sure that our people can sleep peacefully at night.

“Since you arrived, the security conditions in Kogi East have changed a lot. The places where criminal activities happen have been closed down, and we’ll keep looking for them until they can’t hide anymore.

“The president has kindly approved that air support will be available whenever it is needed.

“The President can’t be in every single state at the same time fighting criminals, so we act as his helpers on the ground.

“With this air support clearance, the chances of surviving as a criminal in Kogi have significantly decreased.”
