Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Nine suspected terrorist collaborators have been apprehended by troops of 233 Tank Battalion in Yobe State.

The suspected terrorist collaborators were arrested by the troops during a covert operation in Damaturu, Yobe State.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama, in his posts on X on Wednesday, quoted security sources as saying that the operation was conducted at about 11:20 pm on Monday, October 5, 2026, following credible intelligence on the activities of a suspected terrorist collaboration network operating within the Damaturu metropolis.

He explained that the troops apprehended the alleged syndicate leader alongside eight other members during the operation.

According to him, “Items recovered from the suspects included one vehicle, 10 mobile phones, seven ATM cards, seven caps, two cartons of dried fish and N376,400 in cash.”

Makama said the suspects and recovered items had been handed over to Headquarters Sector 2, Operation Hadin Kai, for further investigation and necessary action.

The security analyst stated that the arrests were expected to assist ongoing efforts to identify the network’s activities, contacts and possible links to terrorist elements operating in the North-East.
