U-17 WWCQ: Flamingos return to camp Sunday for Benin Republic test

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Nigeria’s Flamingos will resume camping on Sunday for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final qualifying round fixture against Benin Republic, DAILY POST reports.

Akeem Busari’s side recently embarked on a short break following their emphatic victory over Guinea in the previous round.

They will now return to the Remo Stars Sports Institute for their camping exercise.

The Flamingos defeated the Guineans 11-0 on aggregate, claiming a 5-0 win in the first leg and a 6-0 win in the reverse fixture.

Young Amazons of Benin Republic overpowered their fellow West Africans, Sierra Leone 5-1 on aggregate to book a date with neighbours Nigeria.

Nigeria will host the first leg at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, on Saturday, 5 July.

The reverse fixture will hold at the Stade de Kegue, Lome, one week later.

The aggregate winner will qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, which runs from 17 October to 7 November 2026.
