Robinson Ewor, Former Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Rivers State has revealed that the sudden move of Governor Siminalayi Fubara to remove the Rivers Secretary to the State Government, SSG and the Chief of Staff were parts of the agreement the governor had with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.
DAILY POST recalls that Governor Fubara on February 26, sacked the SSG Benibo Anabraba and Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie.
Speaking when he appeared on Arise TV on Thursday, Robinson Ewor said the removal of the SSG and the CoS were outcome of the negotiations between Wike and Fubara when at the end of the state of emergency imposed in the state by President Bola Tinubu.
The former PDP Acting Chairman alleged that the governor made several agreements with the FCT Minister “including removing the Chief of Staff and the SSG from office”.
He also stated that the governor “during that negotiation, agreed not to run for a second term”, accusing Fubara of allegedly misleading his followers.
The governor had on Tuesday declared that he had rejoined Wike’s political family, calling on his suppers to vote for the Minister’s anointed candidates in the coming general elections.
