An unidentified woman, believed to be around 50 years-old was yesterday found dead in Tujereng.
Speaking to The Standard on the incident, Modou Musa Sisawo, the Police spokesman, said the body was found yesterday, about 25 metres off the Tujereng–Tanji Highway.
He explained that the police Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) team processed the scene, while parallel efforts by the Alkalo, VDC chairman and community leaders to identify the deceased were unsuccessful.
PRO Sisawo added that the body was then taken to the Kanifing General Hospital mortuary for preservation as investigations continue.
He also told this paper that the police will provide further updates as the investigation progresses. Members of the Tujereng community expressed shock over the incident, a rare occurrence in the area.
