Daily Post about 2 hours 2 mins read

Brazil forward, Neymar has disclosed that he cried alone after featuring in his side’s World Cup win against Scotland last night.

Neymar replaced Matheus Cunha in the second half of the encounter as Brazil defeated Scotland 3-0 to top Group C with seven points.

The 34-year-old had missed Brazil’s first two World Cup matches against Morocco and Haiti due to a calf injury.

Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Neymar also gave thanks to Brazilian fans, his family and friends.

“No doubt, I rate this as one of the most special days of my career. It’s every boy’s dream to play for Seleção, and I’ve been given this chance,” Neymar said as quoted by FIFA’s website.

“I’ve been away for many days now, and I missed it and was eager to get back. I felt a big relief today. I got a bit emotional and cried alone afterwards, because it feels so good to live all of this one more time.

“I thank every Brazilian fan who rooted for me, especially my family and my friends.”

Brazil’s goals against Scotland were scored by Vinicius Junior and Cunha.
