World Cup 2026: Ronaldo names who to blame for Brazil’s elimination

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Brazilian legend, Ronaldo Nazario, has blamed head coach Carlo Ancelotti following the country’s elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.

Brazil was eliminated by Norway in the Round of 16 on Sunday following Erling Haaland’s brace.

However, Ronaldo was not pleased with Ancelotti’s decision during the 2-1 defeat as he insisted that the former Real Madrid manager made too many mistakes.

“I think this elimination started with decisions made on the coaching bench,” Ronaldo said as quoted by Dario AS.

“Ancelotti is one of the best coaches in football history, but tonight he made too many mistakes.

He added, “I still don’t understand why João Pedro was not in the squad – he’s been performing brilliantly. Look at Endrick, every time he’s played in this FIFA World Cup, he’s brought energy, aggression, and unpredictability, but he has spent most of the time on the bench. I can’t comprehend it.”
