Benue APC crisis deepens as Alia, Akume factions hold parallel congresses

Comrade Austin Agada is lifted by supporters during the APC state congress organised by the faction aligned with Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, in Makurdi on Tuesday.

Factions loyal to Governor Hyacinth Alia and SGF George Akume held separate congresses in Benue on Tuesday, producing parallel state executives of the APC.
