By Rotimi Ojomoyela, Ekiti
Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Saturday expressed confidence that Governor Biodun Oyebanji would emerge victorious in the ongoing governorship election in the state.
Fayose spoke shortly after casting his vote at Polling Unit 1, St. David Primary School, Afao-Ekiti, in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area.
“Oyebanji has already won the election,” Fayose told journalists after voting.
According to him, the body language of the people and developments across the state suggest that the governor is headed for a convincing victory at the polls.
“If you look at the state of things in the state and the body language of the people, I am predicting an overwhelming victory for him,” he said.
Fayose also commended residents for participating in the democratic process as voting continued across various polling units in the state.
