The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday declared that President Bola Tinubu’s administration fulfils its promises to Nigerians and the people of the capital city.
Wike assured that Tinubu’s administration “is here to solve problems and the challenges of the people”.
He spoke at the official commissioning of Kuje to Gwagwalada Dual Carriage Way, Phase 1, 7km, as part of projects earmarked to celebrate Tinubu’s third year anniversary.
The minister said, “Most of the roads are not motorable and even when crimes occur, it would be difficult for security agencies to move around and try to arrest those who have committed those crimes.
“The road which you commissioned sometimes last week, from the Airport road to Kuje town was not awarded by this administration and was abandoned, there was no contractor, he said that road has been a problem to us because criminals use that road to cause havok, can you please allow the contractor to come back to that site.
“We asked who is the contractor and they said Arab Contractors and I said traditional ruler if that is what you want be assured that under this administration, the happiness of Mr President is the happiness of the people, when the people are happy; Mr president and his team will be happy and the people are not, they feel sad that their constituents are not happy.
“I’m happy that the promise this administration made, to fulfil that which in August we told the stakeholders that the government would finish that road, I’m happy that the traditional ruler of Kuje have seen that this is a government that makes promise and would fulfil that promise.”
