Iran’s military has said it shot down an American LUCAS drone in the southern part of the country.
According to the military, its naval air defence systems intercepted and destroyed the Low-cost Uncrewed Combat Attack System (LUCAS) drone.
Iran’s state news agency, IRNA, released a photograph showing what appeared to be the damaged drone.
The United States began deploying LUCAS drones in operations involving Iran earlier this year.
The US is yet to comment on Iran’s latest claims following the resumption of hostilities.
